Eco-Tourism tour and tour start after breakfast at hotel, the guest will be picked
up by our driver and direct visit Tenganan Pengringsingan Village through one of the
four gates in the wall that encloses the entire village. Your local guide will share
with you the unique way of life of the village dating back to at least the 11th century.
This includes the system of rule such as equal land rights between women and men and the
forbidding of marriage outside the village. Walk along the paved roads to local homes
where you can see cotton being spun in the traditional fashion and learn about the craft
of weaving including Tenganan’s Geringsing double ikat weave using natural dyes painstakingly
made from products collected from the forest. On a forest trek you will be able to see
sacred temples, some amazing scenery as well as learn about plants that are used for weaving,
in local medicines and for cooking. You’ll also learn about local laws for the use of the
trees - for example fruits such as Enjoy a Balinese lunch in one of the traditional homes,
each with exactly the same layout as the next. This will give you a chance to learn more about
village life, meet with the village elder and experience some of the best food you will have in Bali.
A guided stroll around the village after lunch will enable you to experience daily life in the
village and interact with the local people. You can also see some more of the skilled crafts
people in action including intricate writings on palm leaves. Then return to hotel for
overnight. On the way to hotel, dinner will be served at local restaurant in Sanur. Tour ends.
